INTRODUCTION

I was born in Oxford and later raised in Barry, South Wales. After studying Advertising and Fine Art at Cardiff College of Art, I embarked on a career in advertising, working as a creative in different agencies in Wales and England for more than thirty years, culminating as the Creative Director for a number of large national and international advertising agencies with offices in the Midlands, creating major campaigns for many leading industrial and consumer brands.

Now living in the village of Kingsbury, North Warwickshire and painting full time, my main interest is in depicting the landscape. I produce both real, and enhanced images of the countryside, the latter using reference material gathered from various locations in order to construct the desired composition. Livestock are often introduced as a focal element.

As an elected full member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists ( RBSA ) new work is regularly shown in their gallery at 4 Brook Street, St Paul's, Birmingham. My Diploma Piece is kept within the vaults of the RBSA archives (an accredited museum). Some works have also been exhibited in the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, and Derby City Museum & Art Gallery amongst others.

I have works held in private collections in the UK and abroad.
